Do you have a collectible you'd like to sell but don't know where to start?
In this article we explain how to correctly propose an item for sale or for sale on behalf of a third party, what information is required and when it is best to choose immediate payment or consignment.
1. How to propose an item for sale
To correctly evaluate and propose an item, it is sufficient to provide us with two clear photographs and a brief description.
Here's how to prepare the material.
The photographs
1) Take at least two clear photos, one of the front and one of the back or any details.
2) Make sure the image is well lit and the object is fully visible.
3) Avoid filters or cropping, a natural photo is more useful for evaluation.
The description
Write a short description that includes:
1) Type of object (coin, stamp, document, medal, uniform, etc.)
2) Era or year, if known
3) General conditions (good condition, wear and tear, any defects)
4) Any additional information on the origin or provenance
The clearer the description, the quicker and more accurate our free estimate will be.
2. The two sales options: immediate payment or third-party account
Once you have received the photos and description, you can choose between two sales methods.
Sale with immediate payment
This formula is ideal for those who want to sell immediately and obtain quick payment.
After the evaluation, if the item is among those we are interested in, you will be offered a purchase price.
If you accept, we will pay immediately via the agreed-upon method (bank transfer or cash, within the limits of the law).
Advantages:
-
Immediate collection
-
No waiting or risk of unsold items
-
Quick and easy procedure
Recommended if you want to monetize quickly or don't want to manage the timing of the sale.
Third party sales (consignment sales)
With this formula, you entrust us with the item to be sold in your name, but we manage the entire process: photography, listing, negotiation, and shipping.
Once the sale is completed, we will refund you the agreed-upon amount, retaining a commission agreed upon in advance.
Advantages:
-
Possibility of obtaining a higher realization price
-
No direct management of listings or buyers
-
Visibility on our sales channels (eBay, Delcampe, website)
Recommended if you are not in a hurry to sell and want to maximize the value of the item.
4. How to submit the proposal
You can propose your object in a simple way:
-
Send two clear photos and a short description to propone@tscollezionismo.it
-
Please indicate whether you prefer an estimate for immediate payment or third-party payment (or let us advise you).
-
You will receive a response with a free estimate and, if desired, all available sales options.
